everyone is making everyone to be on social.
every marketer is making every brand to go on social.
are we pushing it?
this recent article on Forbes, reveals how many top brands out there are not even having dialogs with their consumers in the digital space, namely, having a Facebook page.
what we should look at is how social these brands are outside from digital space, and how social should they be, before we judge them not being social enough digitally. Also, are we as a consumer, expect them to be that social online? I'm not an iphone user, but if i were, would I want to connect Apple on Facebook? Or does Apple have its own kind of network? I drink coke, if i drink it everyday already, it's more than a brand already, it is part of my life. Then do I have the desire to connect to it in digital space? The same goes for McDonalds and others. I'm a smoker, but why do I want to connect to Marlboro on Facebook?
these are questions worth pondering over.
