I have this tendency, of precisely finding a word to describe everything. It's my way of being organized.
Think re-usable color-labels. Think twitter hash-tags. Think P-touch labels (boy, do I love p-touch!)
I tag the object/person/scenery/scent/sound/gesture/taste with the word.
File them in a brain archive, store, close. I am all set.
Then when a day comes to trying to find another word to reference on a new target, I can easily open the same archive and reference my way to a new tag.
fabulous, isn't it!
well, I couldn't quite find a word to describe today. I tried to get it over with by just thinking "a bit of everything" kind of day. but that would be irresponsible of me.
First of all, I walked. secondly, i went to a gourmet food store
(grocery shopping is a hobby. I aim to find the best in every place I go.
I even took a metro!
But the best part is, it doesn't end there! It was breezy and sunny.
Lujiazui was filled with 2nd tier city tourists as usual, but if you still haven't learned to "invisible-capsule" yourself in China, then really, you haven't lived. (anyone who asks me what it is will not get an answer)
The place was new, so you could smell the fresh paint and wood.
There were no customers but us.
To me, no-people-venues are the best venues.
Not that I don't like people, don't get me wrong.
I just prefer smaller, quieter, more intimate group thing.
I believe things get chaotic and out of hand when there's an increase in head counts
(isn't this a great photo? we used this image in our pitch when the CTO touched on scalability. The funny CTO)
The most ideal and enjoyable environment is very few people being surrounded by comparatively "more" people.
The reason being, I'm a conversation person. And I'm big on observation. Only small group allows me to carry out quality conversations (by quality I don't mean, serious subjects. but dialogs that are appropriate for the moment) And like wise, only being surrounded by people I am able to watch and observe. This is perfect for unintentional hang out, because people watching generates new chat subjects.
Sorry I got a bit distracted there again.
We had foods.
Not just foods, not regular lunch.
We had fun lunch.
It was picnic and amusement park food carts in one.
Warm, fresh bentos and fresh fruit juices,
Trials and tasting of gourmet breads and cakes,
And at least 50 different types of olive oils and balsamic,
My friend said, the music also helped.
Yeah I think the background music was obviously a "Carolina" carnival type of tunes.
Tunes for tic toe and pear ale toasting...
The traveling part was obviously a great fun, too.
We spotted a celebrity look-alike young dude.
And we laughed our hearts out over his intention to look cool being ruined by holding a case of milk in hands.
I say, it was his mom who sent him on an errand to "bring some milk on your way back."
Before leaving the train, we decided that he would slam the milk on the kitchen floor once home...
************************************************************
You see what I meant now?
It's really a bit of everything kind of day!
I had a nice walk home afterwards,
aside from being trapped in the elevator for 15 minutes.
I had a pretty stoke time I think.
Had a glass of wine, read some, wrote some, then a nap.
Woke up and chatted randomly on the phone with a good friend
(big thumb up to that, too. random chats are great chats)
Now I'm sitting up in bed, feeling the cool breeze of end May.
Listening to Nat King Cole's version of "They Can't Take That Away"
And thinking, this is the perfect night to space out in cool evening breeze,
outdoor in the garden, drink beer straight out of the bottles, lying on the bench.
And say no word.
Maybe only Nat King Cole playing.
Or Blossom Dearie.
I think I'll like that.
for this unfileable day
