Peppermint Patty and Charlie Brown
sitting down below the tree one day.
Peppermint Patty wonders and asks Charlie Brown:
[Chuck, what is security to you?]
Charlie Brown blinks and thinks for a short moment, then answers Patty with a warm smile:
[secruity is...]
[Security is when you are a little kid, going far away with your parents in a car. It's dark and stormy outside and you get to sleep in the backseat.]
Charlie Brown pauses and continues:
[You know your parents are in the frontseat, doing all the worrying.
They take care of everything, you don't have to do a thing.]
Peppermint Patty thinks for a while, smiles and says :
[that's real neat, Chuck]
But Charlie Brown continues to say:
[But it doesn't last. Suddenly you are all grown up, and it can never be that way again!]
Peppermint Patty becomes furious and cries:
[never??]
Charlie Brown, answers with a firm yet sad tone:
[ABSOLUTELY NEVER]

Peppermint Patty asks Charlie Brown
[hold my hands, Chuck]
是的, 請握緊我的手
